At Angel Arms Counseling & Outreach, we are committed to supporting the emotional, mental, and behavioral well-being of children, adults, and families. Our services are designed to promote healing, growth, and stability through a variety of therapeutic and supportive pathways:

Therapeutic Services
Individual Therapy: Personalized one-on-one sessions to address anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and other mental health challenges.
Group Therapy: Structured, provider-led groups offering shared support, skill-building, and emotional connection.
Family Therapy: Sessions focused on strengthening family communication, relationships, and problem-solving.
Parenting Sessions/Groups: Therapeutic education and support to help parents develop positive, effective parenting strategies.

Mentoring and Support Programs
Peer Mentoring: Support and encouragement from mentors with lived experience in mental health and/or addiction recovery.
Child & Adult Mentoring: One-on-one guidance for navigating daily life, building life skills, and achieving greater independence.

Case Management Services
Targeted Case Management (TCM): Advocacy, coordination of care, and access to community resources tailored to meet individual needs.
Family Services: Holistic support for the entire family unit, offered both in-home and out-of-home, to promote stability and resilience.

Specialized Programs
Alternative Pathways: Reducing Recidivism Program: A 12-week structured program aimed at supporting individuals involved in the justice system. Participants who complete the program receive a certificate of completion.
Reunification Program: Therapeutic services designed to support families in safely and successfully reuniting with their children.
Drug and Alcohol Program: Comprehensive support including assessments, mentoring, therapeutic services, and recovery-focused resources.

Group Therapy at Angel Arms Counseling
At Angel Arms Counseling, we believe in the power of shared healing. Our group therapy sessions are led by compassionate, experienced staff and are designed to foster connection, growth, and empowerment in a supportive environment. Whether you're a current client or receiving services elsewhere with Medicaid insurance, you're welcome to join our community.

All groups are 3 hours long unless otherwise noted.

This group is designed to help individuals identify triggers, understand emotional patterns, and develop healthy strategies for expressing and managing anger. Participants will learn communication skills, emotional regulation techniques, and tools to de-escalate situations effectively.

Who It's For: Adults seeking to gain control over anger-related behaviors

Parenting is one of the most rewarding—and challenging—roles in life. This group offers guidance on positive discipline, understanding child development, co-parenting strategies, and navigating complex family dynamics.

Who It's For: Parents and guardians of children of all ages

🎒 Kids & Teens Group
Facilitated by: Chase Dodson, APSS, FPSS, CSA
A safe and supportive space for children and adolescents to explore emotions, build social skills, and learn positive coping strategies. Activities are age-appropriate and focus on emotional expression, resilience, and peer relationships.

Who It's For: Children and teens ages 6–17

This group explores the dynamics of healthy versus unhealthy relationships, setting boundaries, improving communication, and recognizing red flags. Participants will learn how to foster respectful and meaningful connections with others.

Who It's For: Adults navigating romantic, family, or interpersonal relationships

🌸 Love Thyself: Women’s Support Group
Facilitated by: Jessica Smith, CSW
Created for women to explore identity, self-esteem, trauma, and empowerment in a nurturing and judgment-free space. This group focuses on healing, self-love, and community support.

Who It's For: Women seeking to reclaim their voice and value

A recovery-focused group supporting those navigating substance use, relapse prevention, and the journey of sobriety. Emphasis is placed on peer support, accountability, and practical tools to maintain recovery.

Who It's For: Adults in recovery from substance use or co-occurring disorders

🕊️ Trauma Support Group
Facilitated by: Chase Dodson, APSS, FPSS, CSA
This trauma-informed group offers a compassionate space to explore the impact of trauma on your mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Through guided discussion and grounding techniques, participants work toward healing in a community of shared understanding.

Who It's For: Adults who have experienced trauma, including complex, developmental, or recent events

Designed to empower youth through role-play, discussion, and skill-building around peer pressure, bullying, self-advocacy, and confidence.

Who It's For: Children and teens facing bullying or peer conflict

🏡 Independent Living Skills Group

This hands-on group teaches essential life skills including budgeting, job readiness, time management, and decision-making to support greater independence.

Who It's For: Adults interested in incorporating spirituality into their healing

Eligibility:
All groups are open to current Angel Arms Counseling clients or individuals with Medicaid insurance, regardless of whether they are receiving services at our agency or another provider.
